2012 – Kalamunda WEST AUS

This three day lab focused on the transfer between bodily movement design, landscape motifs and framing approaches.

The dance and photographic artists developed collaborative dialogue adapted through shared movement training processes facilitated by Orr and Sweeney, to begin to articulate physical and verbal language as based on the properties of their experienced environment.

The visual outcomes of the project reflect how the immediacy of this instant movement / visual composition can capture energy, presence and kinaesthetic awareness within the photographic frame.

..exploring the role of the frame of the body and the lens interdependently, my body did not become separate from the frame, while the presence of the camera was incorporated into the landscape, providing further stimulus for interactive movement..
